DOOM Ethernal was presented during Bethesda Game Days, and we got deep dive into several aspects of a game with Marty Stratton and Hugo Martin. Whole event was hosted by Joshua Boyle and we are going to check on 2 main topics in our article.
DOOM Eternal is collecting amazing reviews from several sources and journalists that were able to test the game and whole team presented miltiplayer aspect of a game - BATTLEMODE - with huge excitement.
BATTLEMODE is reminiscence to ShootMania that presented asymetric gaming model back in 2013. In this case there were three defenders and one attacker. In case of DOOM Eternal, we are facing fully loaded Slayer with two demons working as a team.
While expectations are that Slayer will require skill heavy gameplay, demons need to harness tactics to overwhelm theirs opponent. In Gameplay footage, we could see Mancubus, Pain Elemental, Archvile, Revenant and Marauder that all have its unique abilities and could spawn swarm of lower tier demons.
During one hour session we saw three Bo5 that allow each player to took boost perks between each round. Each match were played in various and and easily recognizable environments. (Maykrs Theme)
Every player can customize his character and podiums, while most of cosmetics are earned thru gameplay of single player.
